The British Military Tournament is the largest military pageant in the world. It was started in 2010, as a revival of the Royal Tournament, which ran between 1880 and 1999. It is a spectacular event which raises money for three important military charities: The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
This year’s BMT was the best yet, with displays including The White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team, a battle re-enactment led by Lawrence of Arabia, a tribute to members of the military who served in the Falklands, and more.
This was the fourth time Baxterbear was the official mascot for the British Military Tournament. He was also mascot in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
