Baxterbear returns from Buckingham Palace

coldstream guards Baxterbear was TREEKLED to be at the head of Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards and the Band of the Irish Guards, following the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Baxterbear was invited to Wellington Barracks by his friend, General Sir Evelyn Webb-Carter. He watched as the Irish Guards marched into the Birdcage Walk entrance of Wellington Barracks after performing at the Changing of the Guards. Baxterbear was TREEKLED to meet up with his friends from the Coldstream Guards once again. He travelled with them on their epic Monck’s March from Coldstream to London in January 2010, and every Coldstreamer on the march wore a Baxterbear on their day-packs. The Coldstream Guards are the oldest regiment in the British Army that is still in active service. It was founded by General George Monck in 1650. 3 Baxterbear was TREEKLED to be invited by Sir Evelyn, Chief Executive of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. Baxterbear had made a difference with the ABF Soldiers’ Charity at the British Military Tournament 2010, formerly the Royal Tournament. Baxterbear was the mascot at the event, and performed in front of sell-out crowds at Earls Court, London. 2 Baxterbear met the Coldstream Guards for the first time during the Edinburgh International Festival 2009 in Princes Street Gardens, beside Ross Fountain, with Edinburgh Castle in the background. 6 The Irish Guards were founded in 1900 and have fought in every major conflict since their creation. The Band of the Irish Guards are permanently based at Wellington Barracks and perform at the Changing of the Guards, Trooping the Colour and Beating the Retreat. 4 5
